BTEC Introduction to Work Skills

Description

This course is about experiencing a wide range of work skills in practice and theory. The course will support you to decide upon a future career / job.

The course will lead to increased opportunities in work related areas and is designed to lead to a Level 1 qualification in the future. Experience the world of work in theory and practical terms - catering - craft -
administration - events planning. You will also study English, Maths, ICT and Personal development as part of your learning.

• Business Administration
• IT users
• Managing money
• Planning and running enterprises
• Self-management
• Retail
• Teamwork and more

You will gain the opportunity to be involved with community based activities which will develop your communication, problem solving and team working skills.

Progression

Upon successful completion of the course you can progress onto the Level 1 BTEC Vocational Skills. This course will give you the opportunity to develop various work related skills in more depth.

Additional Information

This course is for anyone aged 16-18 years old and is fully inclusive for all abilities. Suitable for entry level 2-3 learners.

To apply, you will need to attend an informal interview with the tutor, as well as an initial assessment.
