Description

This course will encourage you to experience a wide range of work skills which will help you decide upon your future career. It allows you time to develop important knowledge about work as well as developing good study skills and practice. This course gives you a taste of:

• Administration
• Art & design
• Catering
• Events planning
• IT
• Management
• Retail
• Sales
• Sports

You will take part in supported work experience in the community. You will achieve qualifications in English, Maths, ICT and Personal Skills which are all relevant to getting your future job.

You will gain the opportunity to be involved with community based activities which will develop your communication, problem solving and team working skills.The course will enable you to develop your knowledge in a range of
vocational areas.

Progression

Upon successful completion of the course you may progress onto a suitable level 2 course after discussion with your personal tutor/careers advisor. You may progress to work/supported employment.

Additional Information

This course is for 16 -19 year olds. To apply, you will need to attend an informal interview with the tutor, as well as an initial assessment.
