• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• Managing an incident
• First aid equipment and its uses
• Priorities of care for an unconscious patient
• Recognising signs and symptoms or a number of serious illnesses
• Practising the skills needed to administer first aid to a casualty
• General discussion on common work place injuries
