Please use this guide to complete your application. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact us at the address below.

Page 1:- Personal Details: Please complete all fields in BLOCK capitals.

Telephone Number:
Please provide a valid telephone number as your tutor may wish to interview you by telephone.

E-mail address:
We will email all correspondence to the email address that you provide to us. Please print this information clearly.

Nationality:
Please complete all fields regarding Nationality and Residence.

English Language Qualifications:
If English is not your first language, we require you to take a test confirming your level of English.
However if you have completed your education through the medium of English and have attained a high grade in English, you may not need to take an additional English Language test such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Please provide evidence of your proficiency.


Page 2:-Course Title:
Please use the correct name for the course as published in our prospectus or on our website. (www.harrogate.ac.uk). You may only apply for a Level 3 or above Full Time course.

Education:
Please give details of all secondary education and any further studies completed.
If you have taken an examination and are waiting for results, please write ‘results pending'.
It is essential that you send notarised translated copies of your certificates showing your qualifications.

Work experience:
Please give information on any work experience both past and present.

Paying your fees:
Please ensure that whoever is paying your fees has completed and signed this box.

Disabilities and Learning Difficulties:
Please complete this as necessary, to enable us to ensure the correct support is available for you.


What happens next?
Once we have received your application, we will acknowledge this by email. If any documentation is missing, your application will be kept on hold until we are in receipt of the missing paperwork.
If your application is complete, you will be contacted by telephone by the course tutor who will interview you to discuss the course detail with you.

You will then receive one of three decisions:.

UNCONDITIONAL - You have been accepted and we will enclose an acceptance form which you should return to us with your deposit, to accept your place on the course.

CONDITIONAL - You have been accepted provided that you meet certain conditions, for example you achieve an IELTS score of 6.0. Once you meet these conditions, you should contact us immediately with proof of meeting the conditions and pay the deposit of £750 and we will then send you an unconditional offer letter.

REJECTION - We are sorry but we cannot accept you onto the course. Your application will go no further for this course. Occasionally we may reject you on a certain course, but offer you a place on an alternative course if we feel it is appropriate. Please ensure that you would be happy with this before accepting.

Further Education
The annual fee for an overseas student for a full-time course is £5000. The fee is for tuition only and does not cover registration or examination fees or any other additional costs.

Higher Education
The annual fee for an overseas student for a full-time course depends on the course you wish to study. Details of costs are subscribed below:

Higher National Diploma (HND) £5,650
Foundation Degree (FdA) £5,650
BA (Hons) £6,650

Harrogate College request a deposit of £750 with £75 to be retained as an administration fee should you fail to obtain a visa.You will only receive an Unconditional Offer/Visa letter once you have paid your deposit. Should your application be successful, the deposit will be deducted from the total amount due. This payment can be made by bank to bank transfer, credit card or cheque. Please see bank details enclosed.

The outstanding balance should be paid in full, when you arrive in the UK and before you start your course. To apply for a visa under the new points system, you must show that you have your first year of fees and your living and accomodation costs.

Please note that students, who have normally been resident for purposes other than education in the European Economic Area for three years prior to 1st September in the year that they commence their course, are considered to be ‘home' students and are eligible for financial support with the exception of full-time English as a Foreign Language.
