Harrogate College Hairdressing students took part in a cut a thon to raise money for the Sadie Rose Clifford appeal recently.
Sadie Rose was diagnosed with a childhood Cancer called Neuroblastoma. Sade has undergone chemotherapy and major therapy; the last stage in the treatment plan is a course of 8H9 Therapy.

The funds will help with costs of life saving treatment in America at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre. The price for this treatment is £500,000.

Hairdressing students chose the Sadie Rose Clifford appeal as part of their citizenship project as they wanted to help raise awareness and funds for local girl Sadie.

Students offered cut and blow treatments all day from 9 am – 8 pm with all money raised going to the Sadie Rose Clifford appeal.

Cut and Blow dry’s cost £5 and a Blow Dry cost £2.50.

The students raised £170 towards the appeal.
Hairdressing students Amy Brown and Laura Campbell said: “By holding a cut a thon we feel we are using and expanding our skills to help a child in need.”
Hairdressing Skills Trainer, Katie Stockwell said: “this is a good project for the class to work together on; they have researched the charity and are eager to raise the funds to help her treatment.”
