Local school students gain insight into career options

Year 11 students from schools across the Harrogate district will gain the opportunity to visit Harrogate College and find out more about their career options after school with a choice of further and higher vocational courses.

The Transition event allows students and tutors to visit Harrogate College and participate in a session that includes:

• Introduction to the College with a welcome speech
• Guided tour of the College campus
• Taster session of chosen curriculum area
• Further information on Student Support Services and cross-College activities

The day will run in 2 sessions: – 10:00am – 12:00pm – 13:00pm – 15:00pm

Taster sessions are available in a range of exciting subjects including:
• Art & Design (Photography/Fashion/Media)
• General Art & Design
• Performing Arts / Music
• Hair & Beauty
• Catering / Hospitality
• Sport
• Public services
• IT
• Business
• Foundation Learning
• Health & Social Care/Childcare
• Motor Vehicle / Electrical
• Construction / Joinery
